Much has been written and said about women having a power look with expensive high heel shoes regardless of what else is worn. What about men? Is there a 2007 power look for men? Is did the male power look die with the crash of 1987 or with the dotcom bust?

There is a power look for men but it is much more subtle than a pair of expensive high heel shoes flaunted by the women who have shattered the glass ceiling.

It seems that of the two species, females are the ones that need more social contact. It is not good for a woman to isolate herself because loneliness may set in and then this could very well lead to depression. It is very important for a woman to maintain her friendships while raising a family so that she can stay in contact with the outside world. Diamonds like all gemstones are normally found as rough crystals or rolled pebbles. They must be cut and polished by professionals before being sold as jewellery or ornaments. These professionals are called lapidaries, and it is their job to make the diamond as attractive as possible without losing too much of the original weight of the stone.

The lapidary must know the exact properties of each stone being dressed before he or she commences cutting an polishing. These include hardness and dispersion, as well as any weaknesses such as cleavage spots. They must also look carefully for any flaws or inclusions in the diamond. It is vital that the end product has the stone orientated in such a way that it shows the best color of the stone and hides as many flaws as possible.

According to recent data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) the number of teen pregnancies are falling to 40.4 births per 1,000 women aged 15-19 years. While those statistics are good news, they don’t really mean much to a family who is facing a teen pregnancy.

Suffice it to say, a teen pregnancy likely came as a shock to everyone. Allow yourself and your teen to experience the shock – briefly, and then accept the reality of the situation. You may be upset, furious, disappointed, hurt, scared and experiencing a whole gamut of emotions. That is not going to change the facts.

The acne problem
Millions of people suffer from acne. Although most commonly associated with teenagers, this issue actually affects those from the age of ten up through the seventies and eighties. Most acne does occur in those between the ages of 10 to 30. Although the exact cause of acne is unknown, most scientists believe that the increase in male hormones and genetics both play a part.

Where does acne occur?
Acne is most visible in the facial area. This is because this area is almost always exposed to others. However, acne can occur on the neck, buttocks, shoulders, back and chest. Because these other areas are usually covered, it’s not as noticeable as acne on the face.
